Renowned Ghanaian musician Wendy Asiamah Addo, known by stage name Wendy Shay, paid a visit to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra and showed her support for the medical center by providing beds and other necessities.
On February 20, 2024, the sensational musician was trending on social media as interesting videos of her visit to Korle By were posted.
Both hospital personnel and patients extended a warm welcome to Wendy Shay and her team.The musician, well-known for both her acclaimed albums and charitable pursuits, showed her support for the pediatric unit through the Wendy Shay Foundation.
Among the things donated were a suctioning machine, a paediatric bed, infant cribs, and a radiant warmer.
According to Wendy Shay’s team, having these essential resources will greatly raise the standard of care given to infants and young patients at the hospital.
“As an artist, I believe in using my influence to create positive change,” she remarked. “Through the Wendy Shay Foundation, we aim to address pressing social issues and contribute to building a better future for all,” Wendy stated.
Korle Bu Teaching Hospital’s administration sincerely thanked Wendy Shay for her charity and priceless assistance.
The donation was praised by Dr. Hope Glover Addy, Head of the Paediatric Surgery Unit, who emphasized its immediate effect on patient care.
