The Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah in his last visit to the Black Queens of Ghana yesterday has charged the team to win the AWCON tournament.
Hon. Isaac Asiamah together with the Chairman of the GFA Normalization Committee, Dr. Kofi Amoah on yesterday paid a visit to the Queens at the LA Palm Royal Beach Hotel.
The meeting which was behind closed doors saw Dr. Kofi Amoah revealing to the team, CAF message to Ghana as they host the eleventh edition of the Africa Women’s World Cup.
He however, charged the Queens to make Ghana proud by winning the tournament.
Hon. Isaac Asiamah commended the team for their victory against South Africa in the pre-AWCON friendly which was stage at the Accra Sports Stadium and also charged coach Bashiru Hayford’ side to clinch the trophy for Ghana
Ghana will play their opening game of the AWCON against Algeria at the Accra Sports Stadium whereas Cameroon will face Mali in the same group.
The tournament is slated to commence on Saturday 17th November to December 1, 2018.
