As part of it corporate responsibilities and quota to the development of education in the Western region, the executive director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah embarked on a needs assessment visit to the wretched Beposo MA Basic School located in the Shama district, Western region.
The school that houses over 700 students is current worthy of compassion as classes are held under shed and at times students had to ask to go home whenever it rains either partially or a heavy downpour.
The atrocious state of the government owned property was brought before the leadership of the GNPC Foundation for an immediate interventions as teaching and learning was apt-zero.
On Friday, 17th May, 2019, the executive director of GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah alongside the Member of Parliament for Shama, Honorable Ato Panford, visited the school for an assessment and also have a first hand information about it current condition as well as how best the Foundation can help improve the school to enhance teaching and learning.
Dr. Eduah, during the visitation, stated that, “the situation here was recently brought to the attention of the Foundation so there came a need to visit to assess, at first hand, the current conditions as we look forward to helping to improve the lots of the school, it’s pupils and teachers.”
He assured the management of the school, the GNPC Foundation’s immense support to revamping the crooked structure to enable the enhancement of teaching and learning.
