The Board Chairman of the prestigious Rigworld Training Center Western Music Awards, Mr. Osei Bediako has disclosed that over one hundred and sixty entries have been submitted for the third edition of the scheme.
According to him, over one hundred and twenty-one artistes in the Western region submitted their entries of which nine of them are females. Twenty-one disc jockeys and eighteen entertainment shows in the Oilcity also filed for nominations.
Mr. Bediako with much joy during the artistes and industry players seminar which was held on Saturday March 16, 2019 at the SSNIT Conference Room 311 in Takoradi disclosed that, this year’s edition of the scheme has so far witnessed massive improvement compared to the previous editions.
He however, noted that, the Board have commenced sitting, debating and discussing to ensure that deserving songs, artistes, dj’s, entertainment shows as determined by the tenets of the scheme earn their slots in the various categories for the 3rd edition of the Rigworld Training Center Western Music Awards.
He also commended both artistes and industry players for amazing works in the year under retrospect (2018) and urged the artistes especially, to continue the amazing works to gain national recognition.
The 3rd edition of the award scheme which is under the tagline “the best comes from the West”, has been scheduled to come off on May 11,2019 at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.
