Simba Sporting Club ace Nicholas Gyan says his outfit have the best of team to beat Nkana FC in the second stage of CAF Champions League prelims.
Nkana FC after knocking down UD Songo from Mozambique will lock horns with the Msimbadzi Reds in the second stage of the CAF Champions League tomorrow at the Nkana Stadium in Zambia.
The encounter which is touted as the ‘ Clash of the Ghanaians’ will see Simba SC trio namely Nicholas Gyan, Akwasi Asante and James Kotei coming up against Nkana FC pivotal defender Richard Ocran.
However, speaking to Kwame Yeboah of Sekondi based Radio Silver, Gyan who has been shifted to the right back role believes his side have a strong team to thrill the inform Nkana FC in the two leg tie.
” Nkana are a good side but we have a strong team to beat them and eliminate them from the Champions League”, he said.
“We’re very determined to make a case in the Champions League and I don’t think Nkana can be a hindrance for us.
Asked whether Richard Ocran’s caution to mark him out of the game deters him, Gyan said ” I don’t think it will be necessary because I would be operating from the back and so he should channel his attention to our deadly attackers because on any day, they can cause a havoc.
