A renowned private legal practitioner, Faisal Ibrahim has descended on diplomats championing the legalization of same sex relationship in Ghana.
Ghana is making the headlines recently when LGBTQ office was opened in Accra days ago.[ads2]
Many have reacted to the news and have even asked President Akufo-Addo to role out immediate steps to stop them from operating in the country.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show, Faisal Ibrahim asked the diplomats championing the legalization of same sex relationship in Ghana why they have failed to travel to Saudi Arabia and legalise that.[ads3]
He said that, “why don’t they introduce the same thing in Saudi Arabia? Why don’t they try? Because they know their values and religious principles don’t support it but why is that when they come to Africa, they feel they come and tell us anything they want?”
He continued; ”You have the right to be whatever you want to do in your country but when you leave your country to another country, at least show respect that you’re going to deal with people there; so, don’t come and impose your ideas and values.”[ads4]
Faisal Ibrahim believes for the diplomats to be seeking for the legalization of homosexuality in Ghana is a total disrespect to the country and the continent at large.
“I feel it is an act of arrogance and disrespect to us, Africans,” he fumed.[ads5]
