Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward, Amed Toure claims it will be very difficult for Kumasi Asante Kotoko to qualify in Brazzaville against Club Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA).
Kumasi Asante Kotoko slightly urged pass CARA in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup courtesy a 90+3 minute penalty by Yakubu Mohammed.
A packed Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, February 11 saw referee Issah Sey award five penalties, four to the home side and one to the visitors. Kotoko missed three of their four strikes and CARA also failed to slot home theirs.
Speaking to Angel FM’s Michael Ashley Darko(Samma), 2010 Ghana Premier League Best Player, Amed Toure claimed he has followed the Congolese side and it will be a daunting task for Asante Kotoko to sail through after their narrow win.
“I have monitored Kotoko’s opponent in the Caf confederation cup(CARA), and I think it will be difficult for Kotoko to qualify in Brazzaville after winning 1:0 at home” – Amed Toure said.
The return encounter of the CAF Confederations Cup comes off in a fortnight.
