William Ruto has been inaugurated as President of Kenya after winning the country’s general elections on August 9, 2022.[ads2]
Ruto, the former Deputy President was inaugurated at the Kasarani Sports Stadium in Nairobi on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

As announced by the Kenya’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), William Ruto polled 7,176,141 representing 50.5% of the total votes to defeat four other competitors in the general elections.[ads3]
Meanwhile, his close competitor and former member of the Kenyan parliament, Raila Odinga came second with 6,942,930 votes representing 48.8%.
William Ruto has become the fifth President in Kenya’s history.[ads4]
