The police in Agona Swedru have arrested a trader identified as Esi Arthur for allegedly murdering her husband, Francis Anthony.
The incident is said to have happened at Gomoa Akropong with the woman accusing her 44-year old husband for cheating.[ads2]
She is said to have hit her husband with a wooden pallet multiple times on the head.
The victim was pronounced dead after he was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.[ads3]
When speaking to the media, the father of the deceased said, “After the news broke, the wife fabricated many stories about the death until when I threatened to consult the gods, that was when she confessed,” Mr Nyansor stated.
He further revealed that his in-law (suspect) consistently threatened to kill his son for birthing a child outside their marriage but considered it as a joke until the unfortunate happened.[ads5]
