Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region of Ghana, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that he will not contest for the parliamentary seat again in the 2020 general elections.
According to the outspoken MP, his wife had advised him to bow out of parliament in 2020 after watching the video tendered against him as evidence by colleague MP, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka.
‘’My wife told me not to contest again after watching the video. She agrees that indeed what I said was true. I will leave Parliament and become a star”, he said on Adom TV’s Badwam show.
Meanwhile, the maverick politician is currently under probe by the Privileges Committee of Parliament after terming his colleague parliamentarians as lady.
Although he has rendered an unqualified apology, honorable Kennedy Agyapong still insist on bowing out of parliament in 2020.
He added that after bowing out of Parliament in 2020, his constituents would rather suffer.
“My constituents will see how hard life will be for them when I leave parliament. I will not contest again”
