The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western North Region have expressed their sadness over the demise of regional deputy organizer Thomas Asienae.
Mr. Asienae gave up the ghost on Tuesday after a short illness.[ads2]
According to the NDC, Thomas Asienae was very dedicated and contributed hugely to the party’s winning more of the parliamentary seats in the region in the 2020 December polls.
He was the longest serving deputy regional organizer of the NDC from 2003 to 2019.[ads3]
He served as the acting Western North Regional organizer when the Western Region was divided but lost the position during the party’s primaries.
A statement from the party reads, ” the NDC Western Region is shocked by the devastating news about the sadden demise of our hardworking, dedicated and selfless immediate past regional deputy organizer.[ads4]
“Our comrade THOMAS ASIENAE was the longest serving deputy regional Organiser( from 2003 to 2019). When the region was divided by virtue of him hailing from Suaman, he moved to the Western North and acted as Regional Organiser till he lost the regional elections same year.
“He was very hardworking and very instrumental in NDC winning more seats in the Western North. He was very very humble and very committed and dedicated most part of his adulthood in serving the great NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS wholeheartedly… May his Gentle soul rest in perfect peace… Oh Paa Thommy Rest well…”[ads5]
