President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo unveiled a statue of himself at the entrance of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi during his one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region.
Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, Western Regional Minister explained that the statue recognizes the President’s efforts to initiate projects in the region, such as the hospital’s rehabilitation, the Sinohydro 3-tier interchange, and the redevelopment of Takoradi Market Circle, though some of these remain unfinished.
During his address in Takoradi, President Akufo-Addo emphasized his administration’s achievements, claiming to have delivered on 80% of the promises made to Ghanaians.
He urged residents to support the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming elections, highlighting that this would enable the NPP to build on his administration’s accomplishments.
The President underscored the Free SHS policy as his most significant legacy, describing its transformative effects nationwide.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia’s presidency would sustain and expand the policies and programs initiated under his leadership.
